Langnau. – The two Langnauian artists Ruth Juon and Evi Juon present their created songs and pictures to the theme paradise. The soprano Ruth Juon sings classic-, pop and jazz music, and Evi Juon presents to it her colourful sparkling aquarelle picture-projections. In the song cycle «Vision of paradise» they notice moments of luck in life, search with thinking and fantasy for the paradisical ideal and come in the song «Vision of paradise» to the conclusion, that paradise is, where love is. In the small picture- and speech opera «Rabeschwarz und Pinkvioletta» they tell the story of the |
young witch of the woods Pinkvioletta and how she is realizing her big magic dream. She succeeds to find the win-win solution with her opponents, the slugs. The pictures with all their details are projected on screen. Ruth Juon and Evi Juon sing and narrate live, surrounded by the changing aquarelle picture projections, the orchestra playback from DVD and the light by David Howard. Pure bright colour tones blend with the sound colours of the music and become together with the contents, the singing and the narrator voice a paradisical whole. ------- Sunday, 10 June 2007, 8 pm, Reformed Church. |
